Who Are We?

W e are a diverse group of wargamers who enjoy gaming in the Renaissance period. We use different scales, different manufacturers, and different rules. But, we are drawn together because of the time period in which we game.

Kublacon The Renaissance Wargame Society was first formed in 1980 as the US Pike and Shot Federation. The name was changed in 2004 to reflect its world wide distribution. The society's purpose is to help advance the hobby of Renaissance miniatures wargaming.

All Renaissance gamers need figures, rules, and other accessories. This can be quite an expense. In order to help, we have set up a buying service whereby, if you order through the society you can purchase wargame figures and accessories at 15%-30% off the retail price.

On a quarterly basis, we publish what we believe to be finest membership wargame journal bar none. We have international authors and local authors and full color pages. In the Reiter we also publish rule sets which are free to our members.

Then there is the website. As time goes on, we want the website to become a reference tool for Renaissance wargamers. Our wish is to support Renaissance wargamers regardless of whether they are members of the society. Check back from time to time as we upload information designed to help the Renaissance gamer.

To help with communications we have a Yahoo e-group under our original name USPASF. To take a look go to USPASF Yahoo Group

We also try to support and coordinate society activities at the major wargame conventions. We also are dedicated to assisting local Renaissance wargaming groups.
